Did you know that Thrive is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, so while we’re out painting the town green, why not paint your app green this St. Patrick’s day?
Using annual events like St. Patrick’s day to bring a bit of light-heartedness to your employee app is a great way to increase engagement and show your users that it doesn’t have to be ‘all business, all the time’. Here are three ideas to hopefully spark some inspiration:1. Turn your app green… literally. Change your app menu and title bar colour to green!
This is super easy to do, and works well alongside one of the below ideas. In the CMS, all you have to do is click on Branding in the menu on the left of the screen, then enter the Hex value of the colour you want, then press Save and Publish Now.
Shamrock Green is Hex value: 169b62
2. Have a St. Patrick’s day themed User Generated Content list
An event like St. Patrick’s day is a perfect opportunity to have some fun in your app with User Generated Content. You could create a new list on your app home screen, and call it something like ‘Send us your St. Paddy’s day pics’. Use the List Type tab to open up the list for user publishing, and it will allow your users to post there directly from the app!
If you have some budget available, you could even make a competition with an incentive. ‘Whichever pic gets the most likes or comments is the winner’ is a good way to get your employees used to the idea of commenting in the app and interacting with the content!
3. Have a St.Patrick’s Day Quiz in your app
Quizzes are a great way to give your employees some interesting and engaging content. You can create the quiz itself on a third party site, like Typeform or Surveymonkey, then either embed it on a page using HTML or simply add it to your app as a Web Page in a list.
Or if you want a pre-made one ready to go, then use this one below!
Simply copy this link and add it as a web page to your app, within a list.
It’s important to have a little bit of fun in your app, and St. Patrick’s day is a perfect opportunity to do just that! Whichever way you decide to celebrate this year, we wish you all the best, from everyone at Thrive.
